A resident in our transitional program was asked:

What will you miss the most about FPSNH?

"Everyone. Every single person..The residents have become family. Staff being there for me when I felt like I was going crazy and giving advice when needed or letting me just cry. Volunteers, all treated my children with love and patience. This community feels like family. Being there for each other on hard days with advice or a hug. Helping each other out when your hands are full and lifting each other up when we feel like we can’t do something. I won’t forget anyone I’ve met on this journey."
Lisa
"My advice for families just entering the program is to follow the program as closely as you possibly can. Listen to what the staff tell you to do, because they are there to help. Get excited about your future and the possibilities this program offers. Keep a close eye on your savings accounts and make it fun by reaching your goals. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a second chance, don’t waste a single minute of it."

A resident in our transitional program was asked:

What advice do you have for families that are entering the program?

A resident in our transitional program was asked:

Were you employed before you came to FPSNH? Did you stay in the same job while you were in the program? Did FPSNH offer you the opportunity to move to a more stable and gainful position?

"Yes, I was working part-time at a nursing home as a PCA. After entering Family Promise of Southern NH I was encouraged to work full time and go for my LNA. If it wasn’t for staff support I would have never gone for my LNA. Since then, I’ve received multiple raises (started at $13hr and now I’m up to $24hr.) and I work somewhere better suited for my single mom schedule."
